Makin' up for lost time

Every time I update Addie's blog I tell myself that I'm going to start doing it more often...as you can see, i'm a liar. I really am going to try to do it more often; promise.
Anyway, on to the important things like Addie.
This is her on her 1st birthday. The original plan for her birthday was to go to Como Zoo. We were there for literally 2 minutes when a security guard came by and told us that we had to leave because the zoo was closing. Luckily, it was her first birthday, which was a big Get Out Of Jail Free for Jen and I because Addie had no idea that we totally blew her birthday.
So we went to a playground at Como Park instead...she didn't seem too upset.

Birthday Party

This was Addie's birthday party with all of her friends. Her and Ella and Chara had fun swimming, and then we had cake and opened presents and took a nap.

Bad Influence?

I don't know how, but i'm positive that she learned this from Leroy. (it might have also had to do with the fact that she had her immunization shots earlier that day, you can see the little bandaid on the back of her arm.)

(Yes, we took her back to the Zoo to make up for her birthday)

Twins

It's hard to see the disappointment on her face, but Addie was clearly not happy that Twins pitching coach Rick Anderson had to go out to the mound to try to calm troubled starter Carlos Silva after he had put runners on second and third with one out in the bottom of 3rd in a crucial divisional game versus the White Sox.

Uncle Joe and Aunt Anne's Wedding

Jen and I were both in the wedding, and both looked over at Addie's happy face as we walked up the aisle together. Addie's face quickly turned decidedly not-happy as she realized that we were walking past her to the front of the church. Luckly, she really likes Grandma Mundell and managed to make it through the entire ceremony, pictures and reception. In fact when we left the reception at about 10 she had been running non-stop for about an hour.

Pig Tales

I've tried to decide if Addie's pig tales are ridiculous or cute; i've come to the conclusion that they're ridiculously cute.

And Finally, we carved Addie's first pumpkin tonight; we thought she'd be super-pumped to dig the guts out and play with the seeds and make a mess, but she was more interested in playing with my keys. She seemed happy with the end result, so i guess it was a successful endeavor.
