Addie's first time eating solid foods.

This was quite a big deal, Addie's very first (semi-) solid food. It was just rice cereal and she got most of it on her (as opposed to in her), but she seemed to like it. She's gotten much better at not trying to grab and eat the spoon itself; hence much more food makes it down the trap. She's also moved on to real baby food, her favorite so far (much to her father's disappointment) is carrots.

But...

appearently, we didn't feed her enough.

Yes, socks are that fun.

Everyone says...

Disclaimer: Before anyone goes and gets all bent out of shape that that I'm talking about Adam Carolla on my dear baby's blog, whereby scarring her for life; settle down. I'm in no way endorsing Mr. Carolla, I'm just making a point.

Adam Carolla, co-host of the radio show Loveline, has an "Everyone Says" rule; it's pretty simple: if there's something that you don't believe or won't accept, but everyone else says it; it's true. So, if you don't think your feet stink, but everyone says that they do; they do. If everyone says you look like Foghorn Leghorn, even if you vehemently disagree; you do indeed bear a striking resemblance to him. Everyone is right and you're wrong because everyone can look at your situation with perspective when you can't.

Everyone says that your kids are grown up before you know it; to which i said "i can't wait for her to grow up". That was until she got her first tooth and stood up all by herself in the same week. Now, I'm ready for her to slow down...or stop...or maybe even throw it in reverse.
But she won't, soon she'll be walking and talking and graduating from college.
And everyone will (still) be right; and i'll wish she still needed me to help her stand up.

If you look close (and ignore the fact that she's quite unhappy), you can see Addie's first tooth.
